Information for Authors

In accordance with usual practice, papers previously published and under consideration for publication elsewhere cannot be accepted, and authors must agree not to publish accepted papers elsewhere without the prior permission of IBMR journal.

Number of pages: There is no page limit or size restriction for papers published by IBMR.

Declaration: Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously (except in the form of an abstract or as part of a published lecture or academic thesis), that it is not under consideration for publication elsewhere, that its publication is approved by all authors and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere including electronically in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.

Financial Support (if any): Authors are requested to mention the financial support for the conduct of the research and/or preparation of the article and to briefly describe the role of the sponsor(s), if any, in study design; in the collection, analysis and interpretation of data; in the writing of the report; and in the decision to submit the paper for publication. If the funding source(s) had no such involvement then this should be stated.

Language: All submissions should be in English.

Ethics: The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works. Use of the work and/or words of others should be appropriately cited or quoted. Plagiarism takes many forms, from ‘passing off’ another’s paper as the author’s own paper, to copying or paraphrasing ample parts of another’s paper (without attribution), to claiming results from research conducted by others. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

Submission: The submission should conform to the above mentioned norms and it should be Submitted Online as a Ms-Word or LaTeX generated PDF document. See IBMR Paper format for details regarding the format of the paper.

Review: All contributions will be reviewed by at least two independent experts in the relevant field.

Copyright transfer: Upon acceptance of an article, the author(s) are expected to transfer the copyright of the article to the journal IBMR before the article gets published. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information. Download Copyright form.

Publication Charges: There is no charge to submit paper for review, but publishing a paper in IBMR requires nominal Paper Processing Charges to cover printing/dispatch/editorial expenses and will be paid by the submitting author upon acceptance of the Paper.

Errata: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. If the editor or the publisher learn from a third party that a published work contains a significant error, it is the obligation of the author to promptly retract or correct the paper or provide evidence to the editor of the correctness of the original paper.
